Daniel R. Martin
Licensed Funeral Director, Owner & Manager

Raised in the funeral home in Chesaning, Dan decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. He attended Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science. After graduating in 1981, Dan returned to Chesaning where he purchased the business from his father, Raymond Martin, in 1983.

Becky Knieper-Naessens
Licensed Pre-Need Advisor & Funeral Director Assistant

Becky was born, raised and currently resides in the New Lothrop area. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and has worked in the funeral service industry since 2000, but joined the staff at Martin Funeral Homes, Inc. in 2006. She holds a limited life insurance license, a vehicle often used in pre-funding pre-arranged funerals.

Joe Martin
Funeral Director Assistant

Like his father, Dan Martin, Joe spent most of his childhood years growing up in the funeral home. Joe currently is attending Delta College and plans to continue working towards obtaining his degree in Mortuary Science.

Laura Martin

Co-owner of Martin Funeral Homes, Inc., Laura enjoys helping in any capacity needed at the funeral home. Since Dan and Laura’s children are now raised, she will now be available to help out more.

Phyllis Lucius
Family Support

Phyllis resides in New Lothrop. She has worked a number of years in the funeral industry. Phyllis really enjoys contact with families and is a valuable asset helping with visitations and funerals.

Sue Henige
Family Support

Sue has resided in the Chesaning area her entire life. She is married with two children. Sue has worked with the funeral home for many years and serves in a number of capacities from housekeeping to assisting with funerals and visitations.
